In 1976, Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology was established to develop Korean chemical technology and distribute its results. It has led the national chemical industry and now it contributes the national economic development and focuses on development of international original technology. In order for this, it sets four major research areas, “development of environmentally friendly chemical processing technology, development of high-value green chemical materials, secure new material pipeline for disease treatment, and development of new growth engines green fusion chemical technology”. As well as it established GREEN management philosophy to increase the national chemical industry’s competitive power.
